Meet Our Owner
Growing up, I was always active and creative. From visual and performing arts, to design and basketball. I was involved in a little bit of everything, until I was forced to choose. Basketball eventually became my main focus. I fell in love with the game, but just as much, I fell in love with the athletic culture and style that surrounded it.
As a tall girl, finding clothes that actually fit my long arms and long legs was always a struggle. Nothing ever seemed to fit right, not my body, my taste, or my personality. That’s when the dream started: I wanted to create clothing that looked good, felt good, and expressed who I was. I come from a line of seamstresses and designers, so fashion was already in my blood, but at the time, basketball was my whole world.
My original plan was to go D1, graduate, and play professionally overseas. But right after going D1 and graduating, I was offered several career opportunities that were too good to pass up. I had several sport related opportunities, but I ultimately stepped into leadership early and began building a career in retail and footwear management. Even though I was excelling in my new career, that inner fire to finish what I started on the court never faded. So eventually I decided to chase it again. I started back training, played semi-professionally, and before you knew it, my dreams were back in arm's reach. Just when the overseas offers were finally coming back into view, life hit me hard. I got sick from the previous sports related injuries I had.
That season changed everything. What was supposed to be my comeback became my breaking point. But it also became my breakthrough. Being forced to sit still gave me space to rediscover who I was beyond the game, the titles, and the identity I had built around performance. In that stillness, I remembered the little girl who had a passion for fashion. The one who envisioned having a clothing brand one day after hoop dreams.
With years of experience managing clothing and footwear brands, and a lifetime of lessons in perseverance, I decided to start creating again. Creating ultimately turned into my purpose and what seemed like a setback only turned into a comeback.
This journey started with a comeback... and now it continues with you.
